AMD based NAS that isn't gold

Post by mnet »

Can we get AMD based NAS units that aren't in that ugly gold color? Considering the fact that AMD's CPU division is becoming competitive and I am really interested in the TS-1277 i hesitate on having a $1500+ gold colored appliance being an eyesore on my equipment rack with all my other normal dark colored equipment. Give us a dark grey or a black like the Intel units please. You may not think it would affect sales but aesthetics is a big factor for many as well. Or at least go silver if you must go with a light color, gold just does not mesh with anything else computer hardware related. Would really appreciate it. :)

Best to Submit a Ticket to QNAP then, they aren't monitoring this "Community forum" for feature requests any longer. and even if they listened to your request, how long are you willing to wait for a colour change to happen? ;)

I have the x73 family, and it isn't a "bright" gold, more of probably a matte champagne color similar to some audio gear (without the shine).

Reminds me of one of my first multichannel amps

the Yamaha DSP-A2 (champagne edition with wood finishing on the sides) .. tacky but stylish

Thanks for the suggestions i sent a ticket. Not holding my breath but worth a try. I've been using my TS-509 for like 8 or 9 years if i had a color i hated on it my OCD would go nuts on me. Haha.
