I have my Qnap NAS for around four weeks. And getting more and more familiar with it.
The only thing which irritates me is that there isn't a decent mobile view.
The desktop is way to large or small... Icons falling out of screen. You have to zoom in and out to get some decent app control and button tapping.
And the mobile option view now is just some links to mobile apps.

Yes, but that looks just like a status overview app. No deep app control.OneCD wrote:Have you tried the Qmanager mobile app?

I just want to control the whole system on the couch by phone or tablet. So i don't have to go upstairs in the office each time and want to tinker with the system.

Re: Mobile view wanted
You say that so casually.
Sorry, I’m not going to waste my time trying to help someone who is too lazy to get off their own couch and wants the world to accommodate them.
Good luck.

Its just that it's that i can stay in the living room with my family.
And not have to go upstairs to the office all evening.
And I bet you can't help me to have mobile view. So no time waste for you at all. Or at least you did waste time to type this useless post.
Have a nice day.

Re: Mobile view wanted
nobody here can help you...its a user forun..if you need a better mobile interface ..talk to qnap via ticket
I for mine just use the qnap interface to change or check settings ..no need to use it on a regular basis (for what?)

Oh as I thought... Feature request topic. Qnap devs are reading with it.dolbyman wrote:nobody here can help you...its a user forun..if you need a better mobile interface ..talk to qnap via ticket

And yes you are right if everything thing is setup no need to look back.
But for me lot to explore and try... I guess over one year i will say the same.

Re: Mobile view wanted
My approach is a very basic Chromebook in the living room.
Far easier doings tons of stuff from it than from a tablet or phone
