It would be great if it was possible that an automated script/function button would generate automatically thumbnails within the picture galleries. Now it takes "hours" to generate them/pages with thumnails.

Usually there is a job which creates all thumbnails of new or modified images at 3.00 AM. I've got probably a similar or the same problem. I've solved it by the addidtion of an script that is automatically started.
