Awesome idea.

Where can a Software developer (or QNAP for that matter) access Linux Source code for DC++ as it is presently Windows-only Software?

There are already multiple Torrent clients available on QNAP devices, so I'm at a loss to understand why it needs "yet another software" package on the QNAP that is only compatible with only a single OS. Can't LAN users simply upload files to the "Public" share on the NAS, for other LAN users to download.

I'm trying to understand this request, but I'm not getting very far. Can't Windows clients on your network simply share files on the LAN via DC++ without any NAS involvement whatsoever?

The demand for Advanced Direct Connect protocol seems to be limited according to the Forum activity here, on other NAS vendor forums, and the FlexHub (development driven by a team including FlipFlop).

Have read FlipFlop previous reply in this thread? FlexHub (P2P) for Qnap with Intel x86 processor
Finaly it's here: FlexHub for Qnap NAS systems.

This package is suitable for the following models (all containing an Intel x86 processor)...

Hello,
Just like to add my 5 cents) Of course, would be great to get "official" DC++ client. However, Entware package is available for QNAP, after installing Entware you can quite easily install NCDC client from Entware repository. IMHO NCDC is the one of the best DC++/ADC client.

It is generally a good idea to read forum rules after signing up. ;)
