Got same issue
I had the same kind of issue for my TS-495Pro+ and found a solution. I posted it here. It may work for you as well, who knows.danielbaird wrote:same problem here.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Solution--UPDATE--!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-- step 1
Firmware recovery
http://wiki.qnap.com/w/index.php?title= ... very_guide
-- step 2
Update the correct firmware with qfinder without any HDD in the Qnap
Firmware can be found here
http://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/NAS_Firmware_ ... _Installed
-- step 3
insert a hard disk (i used a 80Gb deaget bara)
now you can do all 6 steps and after those steps you should be able to loggin to the webinterface and update to the latest version ( i did 4.0.5)
good luck all

Re: i need the most updated FULL firmware for ts-809u-rp
The recovery process is to have a bootable NAS again - not to install any current firmware.
Installing the firmware requires a configured system with storage in place.
If you have all that - please follow the process here http://wiki.qnap.com/wiki/Manually_Updating_Firmware - anything else is not verbose enough to see what might go wrong.
