My TVS-873-64G unit randomly restarts about once a week (brand new on August 5, 2017). Nothing shows in the log - it just restarts, and the normal startup messages get dumped to the log. Nothing that indicates what happened to make it restart. I’ve gone as long as two weeks without a restart, and it varies as to the time of day. I have it plugged into an APC Back-UPS-RS1500Gn(which is listed in the compatibility guide) and the QNAP log has shown that the UPS is working with a few brief power outages.
All apps, OS, and firmware are up to date.
Any ideas on how to find more info on what’s going on? Any more detailed logs than visible through controls panel/system logs?

Re: TVS-873 random reboots
Open a helpdesk ticket with QNAP would be the first step. I would install QNAP's Diagnostic Tool app as well. I would also install QNAP's Malware Remover app to ensure that there isn't some flakey malware hiding that is causing the issue.
Was the memory factory or did you upgrade to 64GB yourself?

Re: TVS-873 random reboots
It was a factory memory installation. I’ve installed the diagnostic tool app, as well as the malware remover. Nothing appears to be amiss with malware, and nothing shows in the log. I’ll open a support ticket. Thanks!

Re: TVS-873 random reboots
@melchioe
I am having a similar issue, my system shuts down randomly. I have to physically goto the system and start it up, even though in the hardware settings I have selected the option to power up the NAS. Similar to your situation I have not been able to get the NAS to run for longer than 2 weeks. I have bought the NAS around the same time you did and this has been happening ever since. I want to know how you solved your problem.
Thanks
