recover RAID on TS-459 Pro+

Post by » Fri Jun 11, 2021 3:48 am

I have a TS-459 Pro+ with 4 x 2TB SATA disk
A few days ago, DISK #2 had disk error and the RAID 5 volume shows in degraded mode.

I bought a new SATA HDD and hot swapped the faulty drive. The QNAP started rebuilding the RAID.
At 67% build , another drive (DISK #4) started showing ERROR and the entire RAID became "inactive".

The RAID is down now. How do I recovery.
DISK #1, #2, #3, show correct size and healthy and the DISK #4 shows 3.68 GB space available out of the 2TB (actual is 1.86TB)

Thank You in advance.

RAID5 can only survive 1 disk failure until full rebuild is done .. so your data is lost and you need to recover from external backups
