TS-231P2 HDD upgrade
I have 2 disks WD RED 2TB in RAID1 and I would like to change them with 2 of 8TB. I've done a Qnap procedure for changing disks one by one, but it is not successful and I get an error message that cannot create disk partition. Both the HDD are new and not have partition, when I put back the old HDD starts the reconstruction of the RAID1. Can anyone help me? Sorry for my english

Re: TS-231P2 HDD upgrade
can you post the exact error message ?
Did you go through the process window, replace one by one (in pool or volume .. depending on what you have setup) ?

Re: TS-231P2 HDD upgrade
You can setup static volumes or storage pools (with thin/thick volumes)
Hence my question what you setup .. but I guess you setup a storage pool then.
Yes the replace one by one in under storage pool>manage>replace one by one ... so you say you went through that interface ?

Re: TS-231P2 HDD upgrade
What model are the new 8TB? .. If they are really new and on the compatibility list, no such issue should come up
