Please help. So I've been trying to figure out what is filling up my NAS. I have the QNAP NAS TS-251+ about a year and a half ago I upgraded from two 3TB to two 6TB drives. I've slowly watched as my storage has started to fill up until I finally reached the 80% threshold warning.
I only have about 2.4 TB of actual data stored. I noticed that on the Storage Space screen the Other -> System Files / Misc is showing that there is 2.99 TB of data in it. I found the culprit though ...
/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.tmp has 3.0TB of data in it. When I looked it had a ton of media files that have been randomly uploading almost every day since April 5, 2020. Weird stuff that I would never watch.
Has anyone seen this happen? I thought it might be PLEX, but I don't know of any settings that would cause PLEX to do this.
I really want to find the culprit and disable it.
Thanks in advance.

How was it that you found "/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.tmp"? Though FileStation I am not able to browse this data. Is there a different utility I can install?
Thanks
