Recover data from QNAP TS-212 with RAID 0

Post by crashmerlin »

By accident, I unmounted the RAID 0 (striped) from the NAS and now I can't mount it anymore without reformatting the disks. I read somewhere that the TS-212 has no rebuild capability.

No disk failed, I just unmounted them from the device by mistake.

Is there a way on Windows or Linux to mount them and get the data back? I tried EaseUs and Recuva with no luck.

Thank You for the info. I'll try it as soon as I'm at home.

I used RAID 0 in this case for higher read/write speeds. I only have movies, series, audio books and installers on it so in case of a failure its not critical. Irreplaceable files like private documents, photos, videos etc. are stored one a separate NAS, mirrored on google drive and an offline USB RAID 5 storage which I synchronize regularly.

But, since the data is not corrupted I was hoping to get it back easily. So thanks again and I'll give an update if I succeed.
