New Drive - disk does not exist

Post by mpalis » Sat Jan 15, 2022 12:38 am

One drive in my array failed so I had an identical drive to the other 5 in my RAID 10 array - i wiped the partitions in windows using the dos diskpart clean command - now when i insert the drive into the QNAP the light blinks for a second and nothing happens - the new drive isn't recognized at all in disk management says disk does not exist - is there a different way to reset the drive - i tried it with two identical drives and had the same experience with both trying to reset with windows diskpart
