I'm staying away from qnap updates for a while. Coupled with inadequate action from support - this incident was serious enough.

support has just gave me a better solution rather than "double downgrade": download previous version of Multimedia Console (here: https://download.qnap.com/QPKG/Multimed ... arm_al.zip) and once installed upgrade it via App Center: it worked for me.

I tried that, it didn't work for me, it could not downgrade the version installed with the 4.4.2

Anyone tried the latest 4.4.2.1273 firmware with the TS-431P yet? Did it solve the reboot shutdown issues or the file checking issue?

Ok, decided to bite the bullet for public's sake.
Result - still way broken. Doing the dance as i type to RUN back to 4.4.1 safety.

If you want details - cpu was pegged at 87%+ for a good hour since it booted. Boot took about 30 minutes (it's about 5 m with 4.4.1). Process monitor showed mysqld pegged at 50%+ (what? i wonder what service use mysql). System felt less responsive. And yea, time machine refused to back up. Back on 4.4.1 and happy.
ps. file system check (i did that just for lulz) passed tho - so, that was 'patched'. Everything else still broken.

If Qnap doesn't want us to upgrade our devices, must only Say It!

How did you update it? Did you download the firmware and manually install it or did you update it the regular update method?

Are we talking about model 431 ? without +,p, etc. ?
Since I see that the supported updates are stuck at 4.3.6.
