NAS HOST available disk 0/2 ?!

Post by MarckMM »

Hello community,

I am appealing to your knowledge to help me solve my problem.

I can no longer create a storage pool.

To start, here is my equipment:

SIN: TS-251
Drive: WDC: WD20EFRX-68EUZN0
Capacity: 1.82
TYPE: SATA
Firmware version: QTS 5.0.1.2034

I had a problem with my NAS last week.
My SSD (cache Acceleration disk) has failed.

After multiple manipulations, I was finally able to stop the service.

I had an error message telling me that the RAID GROUP 2 was no longer active.

I factory reset my NAS.

Since then, my WDC disk is fine: READY but when I want to recreate a storage pool, it does not recognize my disk and indicates 0/2 disk available to create the pool.

How can I make my disk available again and recreate my disk pool.

Thanks for your help.

sure you did not already create static volumes ?

the one screenshot says the disk is in "raid" group 1 already

Hello Dolbyman,

Thank you for your answer,

Yes I'm sure I didn't create a static volume.
My disk is well recognized in the overview but when I want to create a new volume or storage pool, I cannot select my disk. Which means that I don't know how to create or even install anything as an App on my NAS.

Any idea what I can do?
Shouldn't I format my disk?
Maybe it's still in RAID mode?

Thank you for your help.

Please show the overview of the disks, you can only add them to a RAID if they are "purple" if they are 'green', they are already assigned to a volume or pool
