.qpkg folder visible???

Post by bokr71 »

Hi,

SInce I "had" to restore a snapshot of my PlexMediaServer folder yesterday, the .qpkg fodler (in which the PlexMediaServer resides) is now visible in File Station, and it shows up in my macOS finder as well. That's OK for me, but my family also uses the NAS and finds files via the Finder, so I would like it back to the state of not being visible...

Why is it visible all of a sudden, and how do I get it back to its previous state?

Do I go into Shared Folders and change the properties to "Hide network drive", i.e. what are the standard properties of that folder?

Nope - I did none of that. I only found the folder via the Snapshot application, and restored the PlexMediaServer folder…

the restore must have created a share or symbolic link as Plex is installed here

/share/CACHEDEVx_DATA/.qpkg

And this location is not linked or shared by default

Can you post a screenshot exactly how it shows up ?

Here are a bunch of screenshots from my NAS:

In File Station you can see the the .qpkg in the folder list in the BMK-vo1 volume:

These are the properties checked in File Station of the folder:

You also can see the folder in the Shared Folders app in Control Panel:

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

You mean "remove" it in Shared Folders in Control Panel? By selecting it, hit remove, and then without of course deleting the data?

Just asking twice because I don't want to delete such an important folder:)

When removing shares, it will ask you if you want to remove the data aswell, you say 'no' to that .
