Capacity is incorrect

Post by RachealWAP »

I am setting up a QNAP TS-932PX and the capacity seems to be incorrect
I have 5 disks all at 16TB each (14.55 usable) the state is Good on all
But the capacity I see in the storage pool says 43.63 (I have selected all to be in one storage pool no hot disk)
I am missing a disk it seems , it says I have 20% allocated for Snapshot at 8.73 which seems correct
Can anyone point me to where this extra disk has gone?

It's the first time setting one of these up so forgive me if my terminology is wrong and for my lack of experience

So it is set up as 5 disks all in 1 storage pool as RAID6
I have attached a screen shot if someone could help me understand

Many thanks

RAID6 uses 2 disks worth of parity information so you 'lose' two disks in this setup (but also two disks can fail before you lose the array and all data on it)

so you get 3*14.55=43.65TB
