RAID 1 - Disk failure

Hi,
I have a TS-251+ NAS working with a pair of Seagate 3TB ST3000VN000-1HJ166 in RAID1.
I noticed that I have a warning alert on Disk 2, having the following warnings on SMART checks
D197 Current pending sector - Status Warning
ID198 Uncorrectable sector count - Status Warning

The tool is suggesting me to replace the disk since this is a warning alert. I have a few questions regarding this situation

1) Is the disk failed? Is there any chance to remove it, format it and reinserted again? No chance to recover the disk?
2) If I remove the Disk2, since this is working in RAID1, Disk1 would have all the info working in standalone mode until I replace Disk 2?
3) Can I replace Disk2 with Seagate Ironwolf St3000vn007? I cannot find same model that I have working in Disk1, so I am concerned about RAID1 working fine with two 3TB Seagate different models.

I would appreciate any help.

1) you cannot fix busted sectors .. just replace the drive
2) If it is RAID1, the RAID will be degraded and the NAS continies to work (just degraded)
3) Replace it with any NAS rated drive of the same or larger capacity
4) a RAID is not a backup, make sure your external backups are current before doing any of this

Seagate 3TB model ST3000VN000
NEW Seagate 3TB Ironwolf model ST3000VN007

I found another Seagate model 3TB

Seagate Barracuda ST3000DM007 3TB, does it work with a Seagate 3TB model ST3000VN000 in RAID mode in QNAP TS 251+

never use ST ...DM drives ...use NAS drives ..large or same size..as said before

Additionally, the ST3000DM007 is an SMR drive, so shouldn't be used in your NAS.

Actually every disk can be used in raid.
But there are differences you should take care about:
Not every disk is for use in a NAS and for 24/7 operation.
To avoid any refuses when (official) support is needed, avoid disks not at compatibility list from QNAP.
Dont use disks with SMR technology (forum search and Google will give you more details).
Be aware, that sometimes disks from different vendors (rarely also from same vendor) have different capacities, although the gross capacity is the same!
In that case, if newly added disk has only a single megabyte less than the existing, a raid will not rebuild but remain in degraded mode.
