Hi, I have a Qnap TS-451, I plan to add 4 WD 8TB disks (WD8003FFBX) in Raid 5, but I currently only have one disk. Can I still add the one I have now and configure the RAID 5 setup later or do I need to wait until I have the rest of the disks. If so what do I configure the single disk as then?

Yes you can expand slowly (Single>RAID1>RAID5>ADDdisks)
