Expanding RAID 5 - time required

Hi All,

I have ts-673Aand currently have raid-5 with 4x22TB. Bought the final 2 drives to expand to max capacity.

What is the approx time required to expand on the new 2x22tb drives ? A week? Is it faster to expand to one drive and then to another or both at the same time?
I do have a backup -but afraid of power outages (have ups as well)

depending on disk speed and usage, while the operation is going , restripe should go with 40-80MB/s ..so take the full size of your block storage and devide it by that

Thank you - that is consistent with the 3+ days time it took me to add prior disks 1 by 1.

If I put 2 disks together and add them at the same time will it take 3 days as well for both or 6 days (3 days each)?
Should I do it one by one or two in one go?

total block stripe size would grow with two added drives..so time would go up

I'm doing 24 drive upgrade now. First 5 drives taking about 18 hours or so each

Each upgrade is just a rebuild, this is a complete re-stripe (parity rebuild on all disks)

I'm curious if the new Replace and Detach function from 5.0.1 would be faster, as it seems to avoid a full rebuild.
Of course, it needs a free slot.
