Qnap expand storage pool "button is not there"

Post by omdawe »

Hello!

So i got a :
TS-851
QTS 5.0.1.2248
Intel(R) Celeron(R) Cupu J1800
Memory 8 GB

And my disk one is full and that the one is all the Apps

So i can't access the whole qnap from windows! I can access it for about 10 minutes when i reboot and then i can only access it from the webinterface.

Warning 2023-01-29 15:00:00 --- --- localhost Multimedia Console Service [Multimedia Console] Stopped Multimedia Services. Remaining disk volume on /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/ is less than 10 GB. Increase storage capacity or free up additional space.

I can't delete the files as the disk is readonly

I can't add to the storage pool. Because the button dont exist on my qnap! I got a new disk in i can add to it but..

https://www.qnap.com/en/how-to/faq/arti ... -raid-type
on mine i only see Action no other buttons, and under action i only got the choice from :
Remove
Resize Volume
Set Threshold
Set Caching Storage
Check File System
Rename Volume Alias
Format
Convert to Thin Volume

Any help.. Thanks

I have the same problem
Model: QNAP TS-453-BE
Firmware: QTS 5.0.1.2277
BIOS: QY47AR54
WD60EFZX-68B3FN0
Drives: 4 x WD60EFZX-68B3FN0

I replaced my 4x4Tb drives one at a time and each new drive was rebuilt.
The drives show as 4 x 6TB, but my storage pool is still the previous size of ~10TB
No Expand button on the action list.
Machine has been restarted, Firmware is up to date. Any suggestions?

Not at all the same problem. Why not creating a new topic??

Anyway, I suppose you did not follow the correct procedure..
