file system check & repeat

Post by paininside »

Hi,

The nas (ts-1273u with qts 5.0.1.2248) keeps asking for a file system check, it says its completed, yet keeps stating it needs a file system check, meanwhile its set to read only with results that i get other errors. even in maintenance mode file system check does not fix the issue.

The storage is a 4x ssd in raid 10, wich holds +- 760 gig space and 98% left over. This is where all the qnap apps are installed and where my downloads get put before storage. After the check my apps do run again (temporarily its not a full 100% this happends) and im able to download, but after a restart the troubles begin again.

anny pointers on where i need to look?

Please set GUI language from Dutch to English when posting in an English forum.

Also RAID GROUP1 (RAID10 seems to have the wrong size for a RAID10..did you try to expand that at one point?)

But static volumes cannot be overprovisioned (only storage pools can)

Besides vendor-defined over-provisioning (internal over-provisioning), QTS 4.3.5 provides greater flexibility to decide additional over-provisioning space to prevent significant performance degradation. You can set an over-provisioning ratio for SSD caches, Qtier pools, and static volumes (between1% and 60%) in addition to the vendor-defined value.

Note: Over-provisioning can only be configured when a storage space is created. It cannot be set for existing SSD caches or volumes.

Best to open a ticket with QNAP then.
