RAID Re-sync constant since FW upgrade

Just hit the same issue on brand new TS-664

Hard reset and factory reset did not do the tirck

Any Suggestions - went through the posts on forum and have not find any solution.

Please explain current firmware used and issue at hand (doubt you have a 3 year old firmware running)

Setup:
1. Brand new TS-664
2. QTS QTS 5.0.1.2248 build 20221215 - it seems to be a build form 15th Dec 2022 as build is in YYYY-MM-DD format do can not be 3Y old ;(
3. RAID 5 on 3x 12 TB (usable 10.91 TB) Seagate ST12000VN0008-2YS101
4. 1 storage pool of the max size for RAID 5 that is 21,8 TB with guaranteed snapshot pool
5. 1 Thin volume
6. RAID Scrubbing Off

Issue:
every time I reboot / shutdown / power up the
RAID Group (whole 21 TB) starts synchronizing despite the fact it was already synchronized before power down- power down is done from QTS

My understanding is that unoccupied space of the Storage Pool that is not a part of any data Volume should not be synchronized - am I wrong?

I'd like not to have to sync whole pool upon each boot as it takes time (10+h actually if set to max performance for sync).

What apps/services are installed? (ISCSI?) Normally a re-sync only happens when the volume could not be unmounted successfully and get's yanked offline (powerloss or an app/service that holds it hostage during reboot)

Installed standard QTS APPS like:
Helpdesk, licence Center, Network & Virtual Switch, Notification Center, QTS SSL Cett, QuLogCenter, Resource monitor.

so nothing special..
Yes I do agree something prevents NAS from proper shutdown, but from UI it looks like is is being properly shutdown.

Can UPS USB signal cable influence the shutdown as I have APC UPS connected via USB as to shutdown in case of power failure?

The ticket is sitting with support for over 7 days and the only advice was to turn off disk usage statistics distribution to qnap.
Not to mention that they treat reboot as shutdown and start :facepalm: ...

the synchronization was not triggered after restart so we claim we have resolved the issue

while original case mentions : " [..] the NAS is constantly synchronizing the storage pool after each shutdown. [..]"

I have TS-451+ with this same issue.
I notice this problem starting from upgrade firmware. ( But cannot remember which version cause this problem)

After reboot I start to sync immediatly.
If I reboot while it not finish sync, the volume will also have error "volumn no clean"

update: not found this problem after upgrade to QTS 5.0.1.2277

Turn off automati send of the disks diagnostics to qnap.
Wait for sync complete.
Restart
Should be fine.

If this will not work retry.

Id this still dows not work reach support.
