Hello,
my QNAP TS-1232/QTS 5.0.1 reports regularly "[Hardware Status] Failed to access installed drive. Check the Host Disk 4 for errors".
But I've never installed a drive in bay 4. Bay 4 is empty. Currently in use are: 1-3,5-7, 9-11. Raid Status is okay (GUI and md_checker).
How can I get rid of this error message without installing a drive in bay 4?
Reboot doesn't help.
Thank you in advance
Ralf

Re: Status Error on never installed drive
Probably best to open a ticket with QNAP, this could be a bug.

Looks similar to the TS-932px issue - is there any WiFi router nearby?

You refer
Yes, on the top of the rack, approx. 1,5m distance, is a wifi router.
Do you think it disturbs the QNAP?

Yeah. No idea if that's what causing your issues, but I guess it's worth checking.
Until QNAP has a better idea.
