Code: Select all

/etc/init.d/init_lvm.sh
Just one point to add that restart not solved my case and agree to add UI function to trigger this process.
Isn't this in the 4.3.3 UI already?

Storage Manager -> Storage -> Storage Space
Storage pool -> Manage
In the storage pool management go to Manage -> Data Scrubbing

thanks , it worked (/etc/init.d/init_lvm.sh) for me also. I removed the ssd cache disk after disabling cache, and it was constantly popping error with raid2 inactive. I run the command and now it updated with present disks and all ok.

Hi, I just wanted to thank you this info, it worked flawlessly in my case also - after hours of precious ours spent on troubleshooting and looking into the configs and logs:
For some unknown reason (normal disks in/disks out) I got an inactive raid 2 group and regular alarms on having a different disk inserted after each reboot. I did not cared until it totally blocked my raid expansion...

The code: /etc/init.d/init_lvm.sh
worked really well. I was afraid to enter it not knowing what it was doing but when I called qnap support, that is what they entered to fix the problem.

Thanks a lot for posting this. This helped me when my raid group 1 is broken, even after reboot the problem still persist.
But after running the /etc/init.d/init_lvm.sh manually it is gone!

" /etc/init.d/init_lvm.sh " relaunches the LVM and corrects errors in the storage config.

It is not a fix for everything...

Dont get the "Done"

Storage manage now says there are no volumes but now Disk 2 shows as free (disk 2 was brand new anyway), storage pool shows as full so it sees the data.
Scared im going to lose everything if i create a new Volume. Thinking i should reboot first?
Any idea?

Thank you for posting this. It helped me get back 3 disks that were inaccessible after a backplane failure during a QTS upgrade on TS-431.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I am in no way a computer guru or even semi advanced, have not been since the Apple 2e. But I was in a similar situation. Was able to follow along and everything worked like a charm! kudos 5 years later! Thanks tom4moore.
