not mounting RAID5 volume after crash

Post by xiaotuzi »

Hi,

I have a 421 Turbo NAS - with 4 x WD RED 3 TB disks.

I had a disk with a few errors on and tried to replace it this weekend. First I put the Raid in degraded mode and when it said that I could remove the disk I inserted a new disk. I thought it would start to rebuild the RAID but that did not happen. After 10 hours I rebooted the NAS a few times and suddenly it did not get any IP-adress via DHCP, after a reboot again it would only let me download quick.cgi when I entered the page.
By googling I found a way to manually upload the firmware again.

When I started again it recognized that there already was a raid on the server and I chose to keep the data. Then it could see that there was a raid but in File-explorer I cannot view the shared folders.

The raid has then rebuilt overnight but I am still not able to see the data on the raid. It is like it doesn't mount the raid.

What to do ?

Just an update:
I can access se data via terminal at: /share/MD0_DATA/
But when I try to mount I get a message that it is already mounted, but I don''t see the data in Filestation.

Log in as admin via ssh and enter the following command:

Code: Select all

ls -la /share/
Report back the results (please code wrap it). From there we'll see what the next step will be.

And this is the view from the webinterface.

Image

Currently it is rebuilding because i manually mounted sda3 but I also did that yesterday, and it did not help.

Could it be that the symlink is missing ?

The output looks good, so let's check the contents of Public:

Code: Select all

ls -la /share/Public/
You can do the same for Multimedia and Web.
