I looked through the earlier posts and did the following... reboot... Recover... check file system... file check system did not run for some reason and now all else looked ok but was met by a warning message informing the need to visit storage/snapshots. I could not find this anywhere in the QNAP menu structure so decided to reboot again. This time group still reported INACTIVE so I repeated the Recover... check file system... This time the file system check began to run and once complete everything. looked just great no errors anywhere.

looks we are done so thank you so much for the push to get this fixed.

Retirement can be fun.

No, I would now backup and SMART check the drives, you could do with trying to work out why the update date stamps got out of sync.

It all looks very obvious from your link but I don't have this same interface ..... it looks similar but is Qfinder Pro QTS TS-431 version 4.3.5.0760 (2018/11/14) is there a different version that I can use?

The QTS in the video different to the one I have so the commands and menus are similar but different. e.g.my version does not have storage /snapshot or SMART only Storage and Diagnostic tools but no mention of SMART anywhere.

I don't know what to give you...... I've tried posting screenshots using the windows snipping tool but they don't seem to paste into the blog. my QNAP menus are different from the link above and so I don't have a specific disc's menu...

You need to use snipping tool, then copy the image into the clipboard, then paste onto an image hosting site such as https://postimages.org/

It'll upload the picture then give you some codes to copy. You want the forum/bb code one, paste that here and it'll display the picture.

I have the exact same problem after upgrading QTS to the same version (TVS-463). I'm not nearly as sophisticated a user and don't understand the various steps described in this thread so I can't duplicate the work. I'm actually willing to reformat the drives and lose data to get this working again. Can someone help direct me how to overcome this Not Active status? Thank you!
