TS-231P2 No working led's and no power

Post by IvanViale »

Hi everybody,

my friend give me a QNAP TS-231P2 that appear broken, but it's new...
The QNAP it's out of garancy.
I checked the power supply and it works good; if i connect a ethernet cable, the port's leds blink.
When I connect the power supply or when I push the power on button, I can't hear any sound from buzzer, and all leds are down.

What can i do ? Can i check if the RAM is good?

I found a guide to replace the firmware but i think that it's not a firmware problem, right ?
I try also to replace the internal battery.

Thank you very much for any help.

if you have a spare compatible RAM stick .. you could try swapping it

try and see if the firmware recovery procedure would work .. you haven't got much to lose here
