3.6 EB files ???

Post by EVRAZ »

I've had some weird corruption on a NAS in one of my business locations.
Not sure what happened, but some small files report that they are 3.x EB in size.
Some volume snapshots have folders that report as files also 3.x EB in size.

I gave my NAS logs to QNAP a few days ago for analysis, but have not heard anything.

I was able to restore affected folders from older snapshots, but this has happened twice in the last month and I am concerned. I am archiving my data twice a day to BOX, so I have backups.

However, the administrative overhead of dealing with this is becoming a real problem.

Has anybody else seen this?
