Volume has status Read Only

Post by dhaman »

I have a Qnap TS-1635 AX. I have a storage volume made up of 12x3TB disk, been running fine over 18 months without issues all of a sudden my storage volume goes into read-only..Not good
I have run several file system checks and all eventually fail at 80%. I checked all smart data for all 12 disk, everything is green. I ran a raid scrub job which indicated that It had repaired over 5000000000 bad blocks. Assuming this is correct I am going to be copying this read-only data off of here.
Is there any possible way that I can find out which disk are actually bad?
I'm running the latest firmware release May 29th 2020 release

Read-only state indicates you have more than one problem drive. :(

Please SSH into your NAS as the 'admin' user and run the following command:

Code: Select all

cat /proc/mdstat
... then post the result back here.

What are the make and model of your drives? A screenshot from Storage Manager would be fine.
