Storage Pool Error

Post by kayrac »

Hi all,

First time poster as I'm in mild panic at the moment ;o)

I had a TS-453A setup with 4 disk in a RAID5 config. I updated fimware on Sunday evening and during the restart one of the HDD failed. This was replace (hot swap) and the raid rebuild was completed yesterday. However, I'm currently unable to mount the volume as it's showing as locked. A check file system doesn't work.

Warning 2021-04-13 23:31:19 System 127.0.0.1 --- --- The default network shared folders (Public, Web, Multimedia, Download) are inaccessible. You must restore (or unlock) the system volume to a normal state. If the system volume is normal, the default network shared folders can also be restored in "Control Panel > Shared Folders".

I can see there is 1.21TB in use so data still appears to be there hopefully.

I have logged a ticket with QNAP and checked with them before replacing disk. I asked them for further advice but thought I'd post here too for further assistance.

regards,

Any screenshots or infos about the status of your pool?

As long as you have good external backups of your data (always have backups!) there should be no panic
