TS431 stopped to recognize external HD

Post by ikifikif »

Hello.
I have ext. HD (case Samsung story , hd WD-red 3T).
The previous hd 2T (Samsung) in this case is dead (many-many bad sectors).
Prehistory:
The TS431 worked properly with the extr. hd 2T before and in some moment it started to stuck and skip files during backup and in the end the NAS stopped to recognize it (no blue led and don't see the hd 2T as connected at all). Then I found that there is a problem with hd 2T (Samsung) and changed it to wd-red 3T.
Now the ext. hd 3T still not recognized by TS431.
I checked the usb port of TS431 with other 2.5 ext. hd 0.25T and it recognized by TS431 (there is blue led and I see the hd in NAS).
I checked the ext. hd 3T (case Samsung Story with hd wd-red 3T) on PC and on other NAS TS128A and in both cases it recognized well .
P.S.:
During I started to get problems with old hd 2T(samsung) and before I found the reason (bad sectors) I several times disconnected the ext. hd 2T with out "eject" because it behaved as stuck.
How to fix it ?
Thank you in advance.
