TS-410/RAID5 does not boot with disks inserted following failed RAID expansion

Post by sawuit »

Hi,
I have same situation...

i have this after hot plug disk 2, 3 and 4 :
"[~] # mdadm --assemble /dev/md1 /dev/sdb3 /dev/sdc3 /dev/sdd3
mdadm: /dev/md1 assembled from 3 drives - need all 4 to start it (use --run to insist).
"

you think it's ok ?
thx

wonder why it's md1 if you only have one volume, should be md0

but if you want to assemble it by force, try it

I try but i have :
[~] # mount -o ro /dev/md1 /share/SAVED
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/md1,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
