i have not created the raid because i want to understand first which is the best way to have more space this is the 2 option that i have now 1) 4x6tb = 16tb or 3x6+1 spare 10.9tb

photo 3 if i choose 4x6

as said before..please switch your ui to english when posting in an english forum

how would you think a spare would give you more space ? a hotspare is "wasted" space ... maximum storage with single parity is raid5 ...

sorry for Ui, i could have chance to change WD, this one could be better? ST6000VN001 SEAGATE Hard Disk per NAS IronWolf 6 TB 3.5" Interfaccia Sata III 6 Gb / s Buffer 256 MB 5400 Rpm

seagate do not have smr in their nas line ..so those are fine
