Minimum 4-bay QNAP model and QTS to support more than 16TB vbolume

Post by eppingwest »

Currently using TS420 4-bay with 2 x 12TB volumes (4 x 6TB drives) without RAID. It is 5-6 years old hardware with 16TB volume limit.

What is the cheapest 4-bay model and QTS that allow me to put 4 x 8TB drives with RAID5 giving me a single 24TB volume?

I use the NAS to store movies where external video player streams the video files to TV screen via ethernet. NAS read/write speed is not an issue.

Thanks.
