Unallocated drive spave

Post by jds9thousand »

Hi,
First off .. aplogies for being a bit dense, but new to this.
I have a QNAP 4-bay TS451+ which had 4 x 2tb drives in it, setup as a Pool, and set to Raid 5.
I then swapped them out ... one by one ... for 4 x 8tb drives, which, according to the Storage screen is now showing as 21.80tb.... but it's still showing as 49.90% unallocated.
Erm ... how do exapnd it to the full size ?.
I can't seem to find a way of expaning it to it's full capacity.
I'm on QTS4.5.3 if that helps.
(Also attached a screenshot)

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jay

you need to follow the process described in the manual

expand the pool (in your screenshot) > replace one by one > next > expand
expand your volume(s)
