TS-212 No web interface

Post by carlosmora »

Hi!

My QNAP TS-212 volumes can be reached as usual as SMB volumes and i can ssh it, but there is no web interface. Q-Finder sees it, but it's unable to login into it with the right credentials.

In the console I run a script found in the forum to get information about the status of the device:

QFinder is in the latest release (7.5)

This situation is not new. I updated the device via ssh, but no luck, no web interface al all.
When i try to reach it at http://192.168.1.250 or http://192.168.1.250:8080 there is no answer.

What else can i try?

I got it running again!
I started playing with the http services :

Code: Select all

 # /etc/init.d/Qthttpd.sh stop
Shutting down Qthttpd services: OK.
[~] # ps aux | grep apache
14149 admin 972 S /usr/sbin/SCREEN -dmS QAIRP /mnt/ext/opt/apache/bin/php /usr/local/medialibrary/bin/QAirplay/svc.php
14151 admin 8584 S /mnt/ext/opt/apache/bin/php /usr/local/medialibrary/bin/QAirplay/svc.php
21403 admin 576 R grep apache
[~] # /etc/init.d/t
thttpd.sh timechange_notify.sh timemachine.sh twonkymedia.sh
[~] # /etc/init.d/thttpd.sh stop
Stop apache proxy: OK
Shutting down thttpd service: OK
[~] # ps aux | grep apache
14149 admin 844 S /usr/sbin/SCREEN -dmS QAIRP /mnt/ext/opt/apache/bin/php /usr/local/medialibrary/bin/QAirplay/svc.php
14151 admin 6960 S /mnt/ext/opt/apache/bin/php /usr/local/medialibrary/bin/QAirplay/svc.php
22695 admin 576 R grep apache
[~] # /etc/init.d/thttpd.sh start
Starting thttpd service: OK
Start apache proxy: Fail
Shutting down thttpd service: OK
Starting thttpd service: OK
[~] # /etc/init.d/Qthttpd.sh start
Terminated
Recover apache confiugre
Starting Qthttpd services: OK
Now it seems to work agin!! There is a pending update, so it's downloading it.
Note the message when restarting Qthttpd (with the original tyo :) ) : "Recover apache confiugre"
Finger crossed.

Things went bad again. When I got the web interface working again, I did a firmware upgrade and thing looked fine, but now I'm at square one again.
Restarting the thttpd service make things work again.
Please, how can I find what the problem is?
Just in case, when restarting thttpd service there are some fails that can give a clue:

Code: Select all

[~] # /etc/init.d/thttpd.sh restart
Stop apache proxy: OK
Shutting down thttpd service: OK
Starting thttpd service: Killed
OK
Start apache proxy: Fail
Killed
Shutting down thttpd service: OK
Starting thttpd service: OK
[~] #

TIA,

Hi,
How can I know why web interface stops working? I have to log in trough ssh and do a manual reset of the service to get it working again.
