Bad Pool error

Post by vangelisb »

Model QNAP TS-653A 6 HDD installed
We had an smart error message that HDD 1 & 4 had an issue and we decided to replace them.
We purchased 2 x 2TB WD Red and without reading the manual we switched off the NAS and replaced the 2 hard drives and we turned it back on we waited 2 days for rebuild but nothing happened and also when we access the website we have only a blue background.
After reading that you have to replace the hard drives from the website we switched off the NAS and placed back the old hard drives.
Now we have an error Bad Pool and we are unable to access the website and the files.
i did an md_checker and the result is

Code: Select all

always swap disks hot ..why would you shut a server down for that?

best to open a ticket with qnap
