Root access for FTP

Post by philguk »

Trying to access my QNAP NAS as root to view/copy some files from /etc/ for analysis

When I try a secure FTP connection I get

Code: Select all

SFTP connection error - SFTP subsystem on server unavailable
So obviously I am either missing an option somewhere or there is a setting on the NAS itself I'm not seeing

Thanks for any suggestions

AHA!

I had SSH checked but NOT SFTP

Now they're both checked and access is achieved :)

MANY thanks for the pointer
