TS-670 Pro Raid 5 Storage Pool Capacity

Post by bcdal »

I'm hoping someone can help me with my QNAP NAS, I have 6 disks in my 670 Pro in a RAID 5 setup:
  • 4 x 6 TB (5.46 TB)
  • 2 x 12 TB
I was expecting a total capacity of my storage pool to be around 27 TB (see attached image)

My storage pool information is ready much less than that at 18 TB (see attached)

Firmware is up to date, unallocated is all assigned. Not sure what to explore next....I may be missing something really simple. Any help would be appreciated.

Please always post screenshots to the forum .. not external sites

Looks like you attached the extra disks but never expanded the pool

In the first screenshot, navigate to Manage -> replace One by One and click on "Expand Capacity" on the bottom

you sir....are a genius! Thanks so much...that was it! It is "synchronizing" now, and the available capacity was listed there in red at 27.4 TB
