Hi,
I did a System Reset (System Administration > System Reset), and after recreating my Share Folder (Access Right Management), I can't change it's Folder Property. Whenever I click the icon, I get kicked back out to the login page. This only happens when I click on the first button (Folder Property), none of the other Action buttons do that (e.g. Access Control, NFS Access Control, or Refresh).
Size:1 TB
Folders:137930
Files:1021082
Hidden:No
The Resource Monitor is listing the Disk Usage as "Others"
By the way, the QNAP Web File Manager doesn't show the folder either.
I've spent all day trying to fix this. Please help.

Re: Share folder property bug
Hello,
Please make sure you have the latest v3.1.2 official firmware for your TS-639 as the older firmware has trouble with special symbols with share folder names.
May I know your current firmware version and whether you have special symbol in the name of shares.

Re: Share folder property bug
Thank you for the reply.
Folder name: dter
Firmware: Version 3.1.0 build 0627T
I am using the same folder name I had (that was working perfectly) before I did the System Reset.
There are no special symbols in the folder name.
I also wanted to mention that if I click on the Property icon for any of the share folders (including the Default Network Shares), I get the same result (kicked back to home screen).
I'm curious, does a System Reset revert back to an older firmware?
I am tempted to delete the Share folder and recreate it, but I'm worried it will delete all it's contents.

Hi ajohnson,
Do you delete the sahre because it will also delete the data within.
Please try to update your NAS to the latest office firmware 3.1.2 as it may fix your problem.

Your data will still be safe via firmware upgrade.

Re: Share folder property bug
I just ran into this also, but I think I know the problem (mostly):
When you first try to share a folder, it offers to install SAMBA. You accept, and it installs SAMBA, and also makes you a member of the group "sambashare". However, until you re-login, your not considered really to be a member of the "sambashare" group. So the real issue here is that you have to log out and back in again before you can share a folder. But a related bug is that the user isn't told about this issue, and instead gets a slightly cryptic error message.
