qnap 209 pro redundancy

Post by sk55 » Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:55 am

If the my qnap had a hardware failure ( ie power supply died). Can I take the drives and move to new qnap 209 pro?

I know this works with some raid controllers on PC, I think its called COD configuration on disk. You can move the the disk to another raid controller and bring it right up.

Yes. Make sure the hdd are inserted in the same order (same tray position) as the original NAS.
