TS-209 and WD5001ABYS

Post by dickyctk »

I can build RAID1 using two WD5001ABYS on TS-209 successfully. However, when I transfer a big file into the RAID1 disk. There is some abnormal click-sound noise from the disk which is very annoying.

If the two disks are built in RAID1, there is no any click-sound in data writing.

I know that the WD5001ABYS is a new model. Are they not compatible with TS209?

Please help!!

The hard drive should be compatible as long as you can get it set up with NAS. How big is the file you tried to transfer? Was it successfully copied then? We'd suggest you to do a bad block scan on your drives.
