I got myself an external disc a couple of days ago...Set it up as raid1 with my TS-109 (with firmware 0624), then it took about 30 hours to mirror the discs...so far so good;) Then i updated my system to latest stable firmware 0904 (don´t know if my issue has anything to do with this update though) and the discs started updating the syncing again...I let it do its job and I go to sleep.. When I woke up this morning I could see the mirroring process still running! I just updated the firmware, this syncing shouldn´take that long. I looked into my files..hmm checked Network Recycle Bin and what do I see... A whole bunch of files that´s in Recycle Bin has been copied over and over on my internal disc. I had til now 33 copies of my iDefrag installation file for example! (see attached file)
I unmonted my external disc as I just couldn´t let this go on, restarted my qnap and this duplicating issue started over all again! So I had to disable Network Recycel Bin to stop this. Started mirroring again and things seem a little bit more normal, but mirroring has stopped at 72% and my discspace hasn´t changed for about an hour now.
Anyone else experienced this? Is it the new firmware or some other bug with Network Recycle Bin and Raid1?
All I want is a reliable mirroring/backupsolution, but know I don´t know if I dare to trust this one. Maybe it messes up other than in the Recycle Bin?
I´m very thankful for every suggestion and support
Thanks

Re: Issue with Network Recycle Bin and Qraid on TS-109
Ok I did some further testing...using firmware version 2.1.0 0904.
I reformatted the external disc and tried the raid all over again...Then a successful raid after some hours. After that I noticed that the CPU was peaking at 100%. I decided to restart my qnap. So the raidprocess started again and showed that it was successful after a short while, but CPU wasn´t decreasing. Hmm. So I took a look in Recycle Bin and yes once again it had started duplicating all of the files over and over again I ejected the external disc using the webinterface...still CPU not decreasing, and files still duplicating in Recycle Bin! I had to switch off the external disc to prevent the copying. Still CPU at 100%, so I disabled Recycle Bin..and CPU finally is back to normal. Apparently this confirms that there´s something going wrong with Recycle Bin when used with Q-raid1.
Has anyone been successful with Recycle Bin and the raidfunction?

Re: Issue with Network Recycle Bin and Qraid on TS-109
Hi
I have a post with similar problem: http://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?t=7126
and my recent testing showed that network recycle bin with qraid1 disc attached gave same symptoms. But with the qraid1 disc removed and network recycle bin running, all worked fine.
So, I truly hope that the fix will come soon as the network recycle bin was one of the reasons I bought the 109 in the first place.
Regards
Sven

The latest beta release (2.1.1 Build 0925T) solved the issue for me.
