TS-653 Pro SMB Folders not showing up

Post by Dave-NAS »

Hi,

I'm new to the QNAP NAS, and are having issues with sharing files using SMB. I have set the default Multimedia to allow guest access.

Using "AFP" I can browse to my NAS "server name (AFP)" in the macOS Finder and connect to the "Multimedia" folder below it as guest without problems.

If I try to access this Share using SMB I see my NAS as "server name" under network but not the folder below that. I can "connect to server" using "smb://192.168.10.30/Multimedia"

Bonjour is enabled, any ideas?

I want to use SMB 3.x as AFP has been deprecated by Apple.

Edit: Seems like SMB browsing is broken from Windows too, I can't connect as guest even though "Multimedia" is shared for guest access and it works on AFP
