TVS-672XT - Slow thunderbolt writing speed on Mac

Post by manuelcolom »

No matter the configuration
(with or without different flavours of cache — 2x2TB RAID1 · Samsung 980 PRO)
I only get a ~300-350 MB/SEC write max via Thunderbolt
on my 2 Macs (iMac 27" and Macbook Pro)
when the same ports offer me an easy >900MB/SEC using a basic Samsung T7 external drive.

This behavior kind of matches the one discussed here: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=124852&start=285.

I've gradually updated the firmware up to 5.0.1.2079 (20220629) to try to fix the issue without success (among other things)

I would highly appreciate if Mac users _ONLY_ (like galosu82)
who have managed to get a sturdy read-write-cache speed via thunderbolt
can share their experience here.
Thank you.

BTW: without cache acceleration, I have the exact same results (← Thus I'm not sure the SSDs are the bottleneck here).
