[QPKG] BitTorrent Sync now is avaiable

The 3rd party BitTorrent Sync app uses the P2P (peer-to-peer) protocol to synchronize an unlimited number of files (stored on the NAS) between your devices. Your data is not stored on a server in the cloud but is protected using private keys during file transmission.

This sounds great - the software works fast! One of my favourites QPKG on my QNAP.

If not, could you at least open source the QPKG currently used so someone else could at least update every few months?

Replaced the official qpkg now with the one you can easily create via https://github.com/puppe/btsync-qpkg

Just followed the instructions, replaced the URLs to the btsync-client in the make.sh to

Code: Select all

    mkdir -p arm-x09
    curl http://download-lb.utorrent.com/endpoint/btsync/os/linux-arm/track/stable | tar -zx -C arm-x09
    mkdir -p arm-x19
    curl http://download-lb.utorrent.com/endpoint/btsync/os/linux-arm/track/stable | tar -zx -C arm-x19
    mkdir -p x86
    curl http://download-lb.utorrent.com/endpoint/btsync/os/linux-i386/track/stable | tar -zx -C x86
    mkdir -p x86_64
    curl http://download-lb.utorrent.com/endpoint/btsync/os/linux-x64/track/stable | tar -zx -C x86_64
and compiled it, removed the old installation, and installed the new qpkg without problems. Its does not offer the http configuration and you need to configure it on build-time, but hey. At least its running 1.3.94 now.

have updated this morning and now Sync doesn't work in the NAS :( :(
My NAS is a TS-112 with firmware 4.0.7.

After the update I received a warning from the NAS:
Level: Warning
/share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/BitTorrentSync/btsync.conf is saved as /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/BitTorrentSync/btsync.conf.qdksave

I can't open the BitTorrentSync configuration page of the NAS, and If I click in BitTorrentSync App it leaves me directly to the IP_OF_MY_NAS:14859 and browser says that page isn't available.
I have one folder synced in NAS and two more computures. The synchronization between the two computers work ok but not with the NAS.

Is it something wrong with this update? Or Is it necessary to change any settings on the NAS?

Regards.

Is this normal for the new version or is it my end? I did the remove/add again.

So before prior version I would generate key, and start selecting the "FOLDERs" and it was nicely structured
by [QNAP NAS]-> Folders that you have.

Now, it's a nightmare finding the folders. It dumps you into / root , lib, bin, dev you've got all the crucial files that
can mess up things. So now every time I want to go to my Public or Multimedia I have to start searching and, chase
down /share/MD0_DATA/ and find the folders in there..

Is that/this normal and what is the major difference between prior version and this version. I was thinking of
reverting back to prior version.

have updated to Version 1.3.94

however, now no device can connect to the bittorrent sync on my nas.

Unless I set "use predefined host" (point to my nas) for each folder on other devices.

Unfortunately, this trick can not solve my problem since there is no such setting in the bittorrent sync android app.

I checked that the uPnP works correctly on my router.

my nas is tvs-470 with firmware 4.1 rc3
