Hi!
Sorry if this is a an already asked question.
I can log in to https://myqnapcloud.com, enter my Qid and password to get to the browser interface and then to QTS through that.
I can also use the mobile apps on my phone (qfile, qmanager, etc).
But I can't login to the NAS directly with the public IP address or the address "mynas.myqnapcloud.com".
Is anyone can help me or give me a link to an old post ?
Thank you in advance for your answer.
Can't connect to nas with public ip or "mynas.myqnapcloud.com"

I write this several times a day .. but I just try to save you guys from tears here
DO NOT expose your NAS to WAN directly.
Do not become a victim of current or future ransomware attacks

Currently there seems to be a Cryptominer around that eats up all your space

If you need to connect from WAN, use a VPN (does not cost anything) with the server on your capable router or a dedicated devices like a raspi

Re: Can't connect to nas with public ip or "mynas.myqnapcloud.com"
What is exposing the nas to the WAN?
With what that I configured in myQNAPcloud inside the QNAP NAS, is the qnap NAS directly exposed to the WAN?
Since I did enable all this myQNAPcloudstuff on July 26, 2021 and I was happy that I after all those years finally I found out how it works then I discovered your post here and it scared me a lot, so I have now disabled all the following features on all the NAS found with the myQNAPcloud icon and the status is now not okay (again):
myQNAPcloud Link: disabled
Network Connectivity, Auto Router config via UPNP disabled
DDNS: Disabled
How do to an rsync securely - do I need this myQNAPcloud features for this?
Does this mean that I cannot use these QNAP features to do a rsync? I tried to set up a connection between my NAS and my parent's NAS but it did not work anyways. It is a bit strange that the hole purpose of having remote sync is then compromized by features that one should not use savely out of the box .
I also checked UPNP with ShieldsUp, no exposure. The same is true with the sevice ports (all stealth). I run my internet from a mobile phone ISP so I assume this gives me even more protection, but I could be wrong. DNS is also done via QUAD9 (since they have their headquarters now in Zurich Switzerland I am protected even more than before) plus my Router has it's own antimalware and antivirus protection built-in.
Not sure what I should now do or not .

cloudlink is working different than myqnapcloud
cloudlink is tunneling all traffic through qnap servers
