[NEED HELP] Import TrustCor Standard DV SSL Certificate from NoIP

Post by hoang83vu »

Hi everyone,

Device: QNAP NAS TS-453Be
OS version: v5.0

[Background]
NoIP offers a single free DNS domain name and a single free SSL Certificate called TrustCor Standard DV. I've successfully configured the domain name to forward to my NAS at home over HTTPS using Let's Encrypt. The connection is secured. What I am trying to figure out is how to NOT use Let's Encrypt; instead, utilize the SSL Certificate called TrustCor Standard DV offered by NoIP. On QNAP, there is an option to import certificates (Certificate, Private Key, Intermediate Certificate) but I dont know how to do this.

[What I am thinking]
+ On QNAP, generate a CSR and Private Key.
+ Have NoIP signed it, then download the files and import back to QNAP

But how? Any ideas? Much appreciated :D

Hello,

That's it, did it one year ago (also with the free No ip cert). But now I must renew it, and the openssl command to generate the csr file fails.. seems to be due to a newer OpenSSL version.... Searching for the solution.
