Hi,
Not sure what to do here. I'm using QTS 5.XXX with the TS-464. I have 2 Seagate Ironwolf 18TB drives configured as RAID 1. I named my NAS 'cute'. I am very new to QNAP and NAS in general.
Using myQNAPcloud I created a customized cloud. I created the users and gave them permissions.
When I asked a user to try connecting to cute.myqnapcloud.com they couldn't. Error message included invalid QNAP ID or password or region. When I tried outside my LAN my web browser (Firefox) just hung with an eventual error of timing out. Same thing when I tried the https://qlink.to/cute
Behind my LAN I seem to be doing fine. Outside it nothing. I even tried setting the NAS public but that didn't work either.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong. What is it?
Eric

Re: Can not connect outside of LAN
Do not use any of this f*****ing myqnapcloud stuff.
See, what will happen, by following the Deadbolt links in my signature.
If you trust the buddies outside of your LAN, use VPN. No paid service, an own server in your home.
A link for an overview is in signature too.
But stop all other options immediately!!!
Remove any port forwardings, disable UPnP!
Regards

Re: Can not connect outside of LAN
Thanks FSC830
No files have been uploaded to the NAS. All I have are folders. I wanted to set it up and see if it worked before I uploaded a bunch of files.
