Why do I need to intermittently reconnect CloudLink?

Post by zopanda.pake »

It appears that my CloudLink connection is quite fickle. Ever so often and at seemingly random intervals I have to manually click "Reconnect" via the CloudLink app on my QNAP TS-451+ desktop, and voila, CloudLink works again.

When I log into the NAS via myQNAPcloud, I am often met with this message:
Please install the CloudLink QPKG
myQNAPcloud is unable to access your files and share links through CloudLink. Verify that the latest CloudLink QPKG is installed and that the status of the service is "Normal".
I have the latest Cloudlink version installed. And if I simply click Reconnect in the CloudLink app, within 30 seconds, everything is back to normal. And during this time I can use the NAS via mapped network drives on 5-10 connected devices.

When I check the system logs I see this message:
Information 2017/02/21 09:48:36 System 127.0.0.1 localhost [myQNAPcloud] CloudLink service for mobile and PC applications is not available. You may not be able to access your QNAP device via QNAP mobile apps or PC utilities via CloudLink. Please make sure your device is connected to the Internet and the UDP traffic is not blocked. error code: [3]
I am quite confident the device is connected to the Internet via two different ISPs, and UDP traffic should not be blocked because, as I said earlier, I just click "Reconnect", and CloudLink works fine a few seconds later without changing any UDP traffic settings.

Anyone have ideas on how to ensure a more reliable and stable CloudLink connection?

Thank you in advance!

Hello,
It's the same for me, especially since upgrade to cloudlink v 1.1.71.
Before V 1.1.71, it was 1 time per month.
Now, it's 5 time per day !!!!

I am having the same issue. I cannot access my NAS through my web browser (I have tried Firefox, Safari, and Chrome). I get the same error and direction to install the Cloudlink QPKG. When I use my android phone and the QFile app, I can access my NAS through Cloudlink just fine. I would love to solve this.

This is happening to me as well. Very frustrating that I need to go into QManager on my phone and try to turn off and on Cloudlink until it decides to let me connect.

Hm well thank you for your messages, though this is not encouraging.

As well, it appears that now I simply cannot access CloudLink. I didn't change anything and when I try to open the CloudLink app I just get an error message saying:
CloudLink is not supported for this service.
All I can do is click "OK" and it returns to the QNAP desktop.

Exact same here!
I just bought QNAP (two days ago) and CloudLink stops working intermittently.

Is it due to new version 1.1.71 of Coudlink ?

I don't have this problem (or a little) with older version.

Hello,

I deleted Cloudlink V 1.1.71.
I installed again Cloudlink V 1.1.64 (manual installation)
Since 8 hours, all is OK, no problem at this moment ..... maybe it's the solution ....

The same issue exists in the latest Beta release 4.3.3. Qlink has been updated to 2.0.10 if I remember correctly. It is necessary to reconnect. Frequently the connection goes to "abnormal"

Thanks @toybj,
Could you please walk us through how you installed the old version. For starters I cannot find the old version for my TS-451+ NAS, and secondly, did you have to hard wire into the NAS during the deletion and re-installation? I typically access the NAS through the WAN. But I imagine I'll disconnect and be unable to connect via WAN if I delete CloudLink?

I found Cloudlink1.1.64 in Google cache (in the cache of google because Qnap has only the last version1.1.71).
When you have the good qpkg file (CloudLink_1.1.64_20161229_x86.qpkg for TS251C), you go to Appcenter on the Qnap.
To do this, I just write the private address of my qnap on Firefox. You have to have direct access to your qnap.
You uninstall Cloudlink 1.1.71.
After, in Appcenter, you click on .... difficult for me ... just left of point of interrogation .... top right of screen (when me mouse is on, the text PARAMETERS appears).
And, in parameters, you can do a manual installation.
You choose the good qpkg file(v 1.1.64) and fire !! :)

No problem with old Coudlink during all the day ....

Good luck
