Hello everyone,
I have a problem when users try to login using domain credentials using the qnapcloud web UI remotely.
The local users can login without any problem.
On the NAS I get a warning showing login error for the domain users.
Any solutions for this problem.
Thanks in advance.

...by rule of thumb, the QTS destop (Web) login should be the same for remote or local access.kavinda.senarath wrote:I have a problem when users try to login using domain credentials using the qnapcloud web UI remotely.
By default, the username must be specified as domain+username for the QTS Desktop, File Station, FTP, AFP, ... this can be changed in the Control Panel -> Win/Mac/NFS -> Microsoft Networking -> [Advanced] options to domain\username

Aware you have to use the NT legacy domain name, not the full AD DNS domain name?

Hi schumaku. Yes I am using the NT domain name. The domain users can mount the network drive using the logins no problem. But problem arise in using myqnapcloud for remote logins. Do you suspect it is a port forwarding issue with the router?

This ready like a Windows file share access using SMB protocol.kavinda.senarath wrote:The domain users can mount the network drive using the logins no problem.
Using the same as above over the Internet, using something like \\xxxxx.myqnapcloud.com\ without a VPN?kavinda.senarath wrote:But problem arise in using myqnapcloud for remote logins.
Not really therefore...kavinda.senarath wrote:The local users can login without any problem.

Re: Domain Users cannot access NAS over Qnapcloud
Hi schumaku,
Thank you very much for your help.
I have logged a ticket with QNAP helpdesk.
They will schedule a remote session to my NAS so that they can figure out whats wrong.
I have included all the information in this thread to help narrow down the problem.
I will post a reply when the support people manage to solve the problem.
Thanks again appreciate it.

Re: Domain Users cannot access NAS over Qnapcloud
Hi schumaku,
I had the remote session with the QNAP support team.
We found that the problem was with the AD account of my colleague.
He has never logged into the domain before and change the initial password (cause he works remotely in another city).
Completely different question. Do you know how to enable settings in the NAS so that I can access this Admin control screen remotely (home network) ?
